In this masterclass, you will look at the debate between Hayden White and Richard Evans and ideas of post-modern Historians who question the inherent ‘truth’ of historical writing e.g. the idea that all historical texts (regardless of the type of research and methodology) are constructed by the author in a ‘poetic act.’
